Model: MD-2782 The Alphabet Nesting and Stacking Blocks give children the opportunity to recognize difference block size and to identify the sights and sounds of letters. The Alphabet Nesting and Stacking Blocks come with 10 blocks each diminishing in size of about a centimeter, largest to smallest. They nest inside each other and stack on top of each other. When stacking the blocks children will begin to develop a visual power and the training of the eyes that when the blocks are not stacked largest to smallest there will be a sense of disorder. This may not be done right away, but by showing them a few times how they are stacked, they will begin their visual discrimination of size. Also demonstrate how to disassemble the blocks by gently handling one block at a time and placing them on the floor. This will help create a gentle touch, patience, and will ensure the blocks will be taken care of and last for a long time.
The illustrations are cartoon-like in that each letter is represented by an animal that starts with that sound. Each animal is accompanied by an object that also starts with that sound.
